In 2020-2021, 35,945 people earned their degree in health sciences and services, making the major the 34th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, health sciences and services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $35,887 and had an average of $24,736 in loans still to pay off.

Across Pennsylvania, there were 1,699 health sciences and services graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,197 and $23,678 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Pennsylvania for Health Science” ranking analyzed 28 colleges that offered a degree in health sciences and services. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality health sciences and services programs as well as strong veteran support.

Some of the factors we look at when determining these rankings are overall quality of the health sciences and services program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran population. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
