In 2020-2021, 35,945 people earned their degree in health sciences and services, making the major the 34th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, health sciences and services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $35,887 and had an average of $24,736 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Plains States region, there were 1,945 health sciences and services graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,553 and $24,839 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Health Science” ranking, we looked at 57 colleges that offer a degree in health sciences and services. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent health sciences and services programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
