University of Arizona tops the 2021 list of our schools in the Southwest Region that are best for non-traditional public health students. University of Arizona is a fairly large public school located in the large city of Tucson. University of Arizona also made our Best Colleges for Public Health in the Southwest Region list, coming in at #2.

About 1.6% of University of Arizona students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. There are approximately 18,254 students at University of Arizona that take at least one class online. There are roughly 12,642 part time students in attendance at University of Arizona.

The University of Texas at Austin earned the #2 spot in our 2021 rankings. Located in the large city of Austin, UT Austin is a public school with a very large student population. UT Austin did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #1 on our Best Colleges for Public Health in the Southwest Region list.

The student loan default rate at UT Austin is lower than is typical, just 0.8% of students default in three years. Approximately 23,198 students take at least one class online at UT Austin. 3,479 of UT Austin students are attending part time.

Our rankings recognize Northern Arizona University as the #3 school in this year's rankings. NAU is a very large public school located in the small city of Flagstaff. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, NAU has also earned the #3 rank in our Best Colleges for Public Health in the Southwest Region ranking.

The school has a low student loan default rate of 1.7%. There are approximately 9,603 students at NAU that take at least one class online. About 6,368 of the students at NAU are attending part time.

University of Central Oklahoma earned the #4 spot in our 2021 rankings. Located in the suburb of Edmond, UCO is a public college with a fairly large student population. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, UCO has also earned the #4 rank in our Best Colleges for Public Health in the Southwest Region ranking.

The school has a low student loan default rate of 2.4%. Approximately 5,223 students take at least one class online at UCO. 4,113 of UCO students are attending part time.

Northeastern State University comes in at #5 in this year's ranking. NSU is a moderately-sized public school located in the town of Tahlequah. NSU also made our Best Colleges for Public Health in the Southwest Region list, coming in at #8.
