This year's Best Health Professions Colleges for Non-Traditional Students in the Far Western US Region ranking looked at 71 colleges that offer a bachelor's in health professions. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great health professions programs and a strong support system for non-traditional students.

United States University tops the 2021 list of our schools in the Far Western US Region that are best for non-traditional health professions students. Located in the city of San Diego, USU is a private for-profit school with a small student population.
The student loan default rate at USU is lower than is typical, just 1.2% of students default in three years. 2,428 of USU students are exclusively distance learners. 655 of USU students are attending part time.
Dominican University of California comes in at #2 in this year's ranking. DUofC is a small private not-for-profit school located in the small city of San Rafael. DUofC also made our Best Colleges for Health Professions in the Far Western US Region list, coming in at #1.
The student loan default rate at DUofC is lower than is typical, just 0.9% of students default in three years. Approximately 628 students take at least one class online at DUofC. There are roughly 238 part time students in attendance at DUofC.

Oregon Institute of Technology earned the #3 spot in our 2021 rankings. OIT is a small public school located in the town of Klamath Falls. OIT also made our Best Colleges for Health Professions in the Far Western US Region list, coming in at #5.
About 0.7% of OIT students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. Approximately 862 students take at least one class online at OIT. There are roughly 2,645 part time students in attendance at OIT.
Concordia University, Irvine landed the #4 spot in our 2021 best health professions schools for non-traditional students. Located in the large city of Irvine, Concordia University, Irvine is a private not-for-profit college with a small student population. In addition to being on our bet for non-traditional students list, Concordia University, Irvine is in the top 20% of all schools on our Best Colleges for Health Professions in the Far Western US Region list.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 0.9%. 1,909 of Concordia University, Irvine students are exclusively distance learners. 672 students are part time.

University of Washington - Seattle Campus earned the #5 spot in our 2021 rankings. UW Seattle is a fairly large public school located in the large city of Seattle. As a testament to the quality of education offered at UW Seattle, the school also landed the #3 rank in our Best Colleges for Health Professions in the Far Western US Region ranking.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 0.7%. Approximately 8,815 students take at least one class online at UW Seattle. 9,705 of UW Seattle students are attending part time.
The #6 spot in this year's ranking belongs to Mount Saint Mary's University. MSMU is a small private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Los Angeles. California Baptist University landed the #10 spot in our 2021 best health professions schools for non-traditional students. Located in the city of Riverside, Cal Baptist is a private not-for-profit school with a fairly large student population.
