Western Governors University has taken the #1 spot in this year's health professions ranking for non-traditional students. Located in the large suburb of Salt Lake City, WGU is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population.
About 0.7% of WGU students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. All 150,116 students take classes exclusively online at WGU.

The #2 spot in this year's ranking belongs to Weber State University. Located in the city of Ogden, WSU is a public college with a very large student population. WSU not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #5 on our Best Colleges for Health Professions in Utah list.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 1.0%. Approximately 8,573 students take at least one class online at WSU. 17,729 of WSU students are attending part time.

USU not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #3 on our Best Colleges for Health Professions in Utah list.
About 0.8% of USU students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. Approximately 13,751 students take at least one class online at USU. 9,734 students are part time.
Brigham Young University - Provo earned the #5 spot in our 2021 rankings. BYU is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the medium-sized city of Provo. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, BYU has also earned the #2 rank in our Best Colleges for Health Professions in Utah ranking.
The student loan default rate at BYU is lower than is typical, just 0.4% of students default in three years. Approximately 12,325 students take at least one class online at BYU. There are roughly 4,504 part time students in attendance at BYU.

Westminster College Utah earned the #6 spot in our 2021 rankings. Westminster College Salt Lake is a small private not-for-profit school located in the city of Salt Lake City. Located in the city of Saint George, Dixie State College is a public school with a large student population.
