It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Public/Applied History for a Master’s list. Raleigh, North Carolina is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s public/applied history degrees to 7 students in 2020-2021.

In addition to being on our southeast region master’s degree vets studying public/applied history list, UofSC has also earned the #2 rank in our “Best Public/Applied History Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 1,609 of the 35,470 students enrolled at University of South Carolina - Columbia were GI Bill® students, of which 651 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $8,453. In addition to receiving other benefits, 33 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program.
