The #1 spot in this year's ranking belongs to North Dakota State University - Main Campus. North Dakota State University is a fairly large public school located in the midsize city of Fargo. In addition to being on our best for vets list, North Dakota State University has also earned the #1 rank in our Best Colleges for History in North Dakota ranking.

Our most recent data shows that 518 of the 12,846 students enrolled at North Dakota State University were GI Bill® students, of which 194 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for these recipients was $7,101. North Dakota State University does offer credit for military training for eligible students.
