2022 Best Value Bachelor’s Degree Colleges for Pre-Law

In 2019-2020, 540 people earned their degree in pre-law, making the major the 633rd most popular in the United States.
At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 272 pre-law graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,303 and $24,501 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Pre-Law Schools for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 9 colleges that offer a degree in pre-law. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality pre-law programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the pre-law program at the school and the cost to attend the school once aid has been awarded. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

Top 9 Best Value Bachelor’s Degree Colleges for Pre-Law
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend National University. The school came in at #1 for the Best Value Pre-Law Schools for a Bachelor’s. Located in La Jolla, California, this fairly large private not-for-profit school handed out 10 degrees to qualified bachelors’s pre-law students in 2019-2020.
National University did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #2 on our “Best Pre-Law Bachelor’s Degree Schools” list.
The student loan default rate at the school is 4.5%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Liberty University. The school came in at #2 for the Best Value Pre-Law Schools for a Bachelor’s. This large school is located in Lynchburg, Virginia, and it awarded 64 bachelors’s pre-law degrees in 2019-2020.
Liberty University also took the #5 spot in our “Best Pre-Law Bachelor’s Degree Schools” ranking. The yearly cost to attend Liberty University is $28,903 for bachelor’s degree pre-law students.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Ball State University. The school came in at #3 for the Best Value Pre-Law Schools for a Bachelor’s. Ball State is a large school located in Muncie, Indiana that handed out 6 bachelors’s pre-law degrees in 2019-2020.
Ball State also made our “Best Pre-Law Bachelor’s Degree Schools” list, coming in at #4. It costs about $15,147 for Bachelor’s Degree Pre-Law students per year to attend Ball State University.
Out of the 9 schools in the Best Value Pre-Law Schools for a Bachelor’s that were part of this year’s ranking, Michigan State University landed the #4 spot on the list. Michigan State University is a large school located in East Lansing, Michigan that handed out 84 bachelors’s pre-law degrees in 2019-2020.
Michigan State also took the #1 spot in our “Best Pre-Law Bachelor’s Degree Schools” ranking. It costs about $19,173 for bachelor’s degree pre-law students per year to attend Michigan State University.

With a ranking of #6, Nova Southeastern University did quite well on the 2022 Best Value Pre-Law Schools for a Bachelor’s list. NUS Florida is a large school located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida that handed out 9 bachelors’s pre-law degrees in 2019-2020.
NUS Florida did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #7 on our “Best Pre-Law Bachelor’s Degree Schools” list. The estimated yearly cost for NUS Florida is $23,905 for bachelor’s degree pre-law students.
The school has an impressive student loan default rate. It’s only 2.5%, which is much lower than the national rate of 10.1%.
Indiana Institute of Technology did quite well in the 2022 Best Value Pre-Law Schools for a Bachelor’s ranking, coming in at #7. Indiana Tech is located in Fort Wayne, Indiana and, has a small student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 1 bachelors’s pre-law degrees to qualified students.

Creighton University came in at #8 in this year’s edition of the Best Value Pre-Law Schools for a Bachelor’s ranking. Creighton University is a private not-for-profit institution located in Omaha, Nebraska. The school has a medium-sized population, and it awarded 1 bachelors’s degrees in 2019-2020.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Creighton, the school also landed the #3 spot in our “Best Pre-Law Bachelor’s Degree Schools” ranking. The yearly cost to attend Creighton University is $31,400 for bachelor’s degree pre-law students.
