In 2020-2021, 11,545 people earned their degree in legal support services, making the major the 106th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, legal support services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,370 and had an average of $27,882 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Great Lakes region, there were 1,872 legal support services graduates with average earnings and debt of $31,340 and $27,253 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 369 legal support services graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,343 and $26,790 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Legal Support for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 11 colleges that offer a degree in legal support services. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality legal support services programs as well as strong veteran support.

When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the legal support services program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend University of Cincinnati - Main Campus. The school came in at #2 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Legal Support for a Bachelor’s. University of Cincinnati - Main Campus is a large school located in Cincinnati, Ohio that handed out 17 bachelors’s legal support degrees in 2020-2021.

UC also made our “Best Legal Support Services Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Great Lakes Region” list, coming in at #2.According to our most recent data, University of Cincinnati - Main Campus supports 40,826 students, and 909 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 498 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $7,806. During this same period, 15 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Located in Toledo, Ohio, this fairly large public school handed out 23 degrees to qualified bachelors’s legal support students in 2020-2021.

University of Toledo did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #6 on our “Best Legal Support Services Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Great Lakes Region” list.Our most recent data shows that 510 of the 18,319 students enrolled at University of Toledo were GI Bill® students, of which 232 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Indiana University - Purdue University - Indianapolis is a public institution located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The school has a large population, and it awarded 21 bachelors’s degrees in 2020-2021.
