In 2020-2021, 67,146 people earned their degree in health and physical education, making the major the 11th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, health and physical education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,386 and had an average of $24,576 in loans still to pay off.

Across Pennsylvania, there were 2,453 health and physical education graduates with average earnings and debt of $31,184 and $27,201 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Pennsylvania for Phys Ed” ranking looked at 24 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in health and physical education. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality health and physical education programs as well as strong veteran support.

When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the health and physical education program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.
