This year's Best Recreation Administration Colleges for Non-Traditional Students in the Southeast Region ranking analyzed 16 colleges that offered a bachelor's degree in recreation admin. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great recreation administration programs and a strong support system for non-traditional students.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as affordability, and overall quality of the recreation administration program at the school. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.

Our rankings recognize Johnson & Wales University - Charlotte as the #2 school in this year's rankings. Located in the large city of Charlotte, JWU Charlotte is a private not-for-profit school with a small student population. As a testament to the quality of education offered at JWU Charlotte, the school also landed the #3 rank in our Best Colleges for Recreation Administration in the Southeast Region ranking.
About 1.5% of JWU Charlotte students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. There are approximately 101 students at JWU Charlotte that take at least one class online. 31 of JWU Charlotte students are attending part time.
Clemson University landed the #3 spot in our 2021 best recreation administration schools for non-traditional students. Clemson is a very large public school located in the suburb of Clemson. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, Clemson has also earned the #1 rank in our Best Colleges for Recreation Administration in the Southeast Region ranking.
The student loan default rate at Clemson is lower than is typical, just 0.6% of students default in three years. Approximately 11,161 students take at least one class online at Clemson. 3,412 of Clemson students are attending part time.

Our rankings recognize North Carolina State University as the #4 school in this year's rankings. NC State is a very large public school located in the large city of Raleigh. As a testament to the quality of education offered at NC State, the school also landed the #2 rank in our Best Colleges for Recreation Administration in the Southeast Region ranking.
About 1.0% of NC State students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. Approximately 14,604 students take at least one class online at NC State. About 7,732 of the students at NC State are attending part time.
University of Florida landed the #5 spot in our 2021 best recreation administration schools for non-traditional students. UF is a very large public school located in the city of Gainesville. As a testament to the quality of education offered at UF, the school also landed the #4 rank in our Best Colleges for Recreation Administration in the Southeast Region ranking.
The student loan default rate at UF is lower than is typical, just 0.9% of students default in three years. There are approximately 22,865 students at UF that take at least one class online. There are roughly 11,205 part time students in attendance at UF.

The #6 spot in this year's ranking belongs to Florida International University. Located in the large suburb of Miami, FIU is a public college with a fairly large student population. FIU also took the #6 spot in our Best Colleges for Recreation Administration in the Southeast Region rankings.
