Fire Protection is the 118th most popular major in the country with 13,766 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, fire protection graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $53,963 and had an average of $19,479 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 4,164 fire protection graduates with average earnings and debt of $46,757 and $16,312 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Fire Protection” ranking analyzed 40 colleges that offered a degree in fire protection. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality fire protection programs as well as strong veteran support.
