In 2020-2021, 33,758 people earned their degree in clinical, counseling and applied psychology, making the major the 33rd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, clinical, counseling and applied psychology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $47,894 and had an average of $30,175 in loans still to pay off.
Across the New England region, there were 2,159 clinical, counseling and applied psychology graduates with average earnings and debt of $48,720 and $29,353 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Clinical Psychology” ranking analyzed 44 colleges that offered a degree in clinical, counseling and applied psychology. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great clinical, counseling and applied psychology programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
