With 141,695 degrees handed out in 2020-2021, general psychology is the 4th most popular major in the United States. In 2019-2020, general psychology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $30,326 and had an average of $26,018 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 9,899 general psychology graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,289 and $26,830 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Psychology” ranking looked at 76 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in general psychology. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality general psychology programs as well as strong veteran support.
