For this year's Best Psychology Colleges for Non-Traditional Students in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking, we looked at 28 colleges that offer a bachelor's in psychology. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality psychology programs as well as strong support for students classified as non-traditional.

Colorado Christian University tops the 2021 list of our schools in the Rocky Mountains Region that are best for non-traditional psychology students. Located in the medium-sized city of Lakewood, CCU is a private not-for-profit college with a moderately-sized student population.
About 2.2% of CCU students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. 4,417 of CCU students are exclusively distance learners. 5,948 of CCU students are attending part time.
University of Utah landed the #2 spot in our 2021 best psychology schools for non-traditional students. Located in the city of Salt Lake City, U of U is a public college with a very large student population. U of U did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #2 on our Best Colleges for Psychology in the Rocky Mountains Region list.
The student loan default rate at U of U is lower than is typical, just 0.8% of students default in three years. There are approximately 19,378 students at U of U that take at least one class online. 7,185 students are part time.
University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz Medical Campus comes in at #3 in this year's ranking. Located in the city of Denver, CU Anschutz is a public college with a fairly large student population. As a testament to the quality of education offered at CU Anschutz, the school also landed the #4 rank in our Best Colleges for Psychology in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking.
The student loan default rate at CU Anschutz is lower than is typical, just 0.9% of students default in three years. Approximately 8,659 students take at least one class online at CU Anschutz. There are roughly 11,636 part time students in attendance at CU Anschutz.
University of Denver comes in at #4 in this year's ranking. Located in the large city of Denver, DU is a private not-for-profit college with a large student population. DU also made our Best Colleges for Psychology in the Rocky Mountains Region list, coming in at #1.
About 0.7% of DU students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. 3,512 students at DU are exclusively online. There are roughly 5,249 part time students in attendance at DU.
University of Colorado Boulder landed the #5 spot in our 2021 best psychology schools for non-traditional students. Located in the city of Boulder, CU - Boulder is a public college with a fairly large student population. CU - Boulder also made our Best Colleges for Psychology in the Rocky Mountains Region list, coming in at #3.
The student loan default rate at CU - Boulder is lower than is typical, just 1.1% of students default in three years. Approximately 24,299 students take at least one class online at CU - Boulder. 7,631 of CU - Boulder students are attending part time.
Our rankings recognize Colorado State University - Fort Collins as the #6 school in this year's rankings. Colorado State is a fairly large public school located in the midsize city of Fort Collins. University of Colorado at Colorado Springs comes in at #7 in this year's ranking. UCCS is a fairly large public school located in the city of Colorado Springs.

University of Wyoming landed the #8 spot in our 2021 best psychology schools for non-traditional students. Located in the remote town of Laramie, UW is a public college with a large student population. UW also took the #7 spot in our Best Colleges for Psychology in the Rocky Mountains Region rankings.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 0.9%. There are approximately 5,894 students at UW that take at least one class online. About 2,493 of the students at UW are attending part time.
Our rankings recognize Utah State University as the #9 school in this year's rankings. USU is a very large public school located in the small city of Logan. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, USU has also earned the #9 rank in our Best Colleges for Psychology in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking.
The student loan default rate at USU is lower than is typical, just 0.8% of students default in three years. There are approximately 13,751 students at USU that take at least one class online. 9,734 students are part time.
Naropa University comes in at #10 in this year's ranking. Located in the city of Boulder, Naropa is a private not-for-profit college with a small student population.
