Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Music” ranking is part of that endeavor.

Music is the 43rd most popular major in the country with 25,910 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, music graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $27,160 and had an average of $24,560 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 2,151 music graduates with average earnings and debt of $24,789 and $25,423 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Music” ranking analyzed 42 colleges that offered a degree in music. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great music programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the music program at the school. See our ranking methodology to learn more.
