A large number of veterans attending a college means the college and faculty are more used to supporting and accommodating the needs of those with prior military experience. The VA reports that there are 26 GI Bill® students at Juniata. Because the school enrolls 1,175, around 2.2% of the student body is using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. To put that into context, the Student Veterans of America estimates that roughly three to four percent of all U.S. college students are veterans.

Juniata does not currently award college credit for military training. Credit for prior learning can shorten your time to a degree, so it’s worth asking about. Check with Juniata about credit for life experience, CLEP and similar exams, or other prior learning beyond military training.
Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs are not available at Juniata.
