A large number of veterans attending a college means the college and faculty are more used to supporting and accommodating the needs of those with prior military experience. According to the VA, there are 22 GI Bill® students at Lycoming. Since the total enrollment at the school is 1,049, approximately 2.1% of the student body is using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. For context, around three to four percent of American college students are veterans, per the Student Veterans of America.
