What You’ll Find in Our Veterans Report on Motlow:
When many veterans attend a school, its faculty and staff tend to be more experienced at meeting the needs of former service members. Based on VA records, there are 142 GI Bill® students at Motlow. Given that enrollment at the school is 4,055, around 3.5% of those enrolled are using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. For perspective, about three to four percent of college students in the U.S. are veterans, according to the Student Veterans of America.
Note, this figure includes all chapters of the GI Bill® program (e.g., Post-9/11, Montgomery GI Bill®, Reserve Education Assistance Program, and Veteran Readiness and Employment). It leaves out active-duty personnel using Tuition Assistance, meaning the total military presence may be greater.
