When many veterans attend a school, its faculty and staff tend to be more experienced at meeting the needs of former service members. According to the VA, there are 2,664 GI Bill® students at UA. Given that enrollment at the school is 32,323, nearly 8.2% of students are using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. It excludes active-duty military personnel attending through Tuition Assistance, so the true military population may be larger. Veteran students account for 0.4% of the student body at UA, according to U.S. Department of Education figures.
