Our Veterans Report on TOA:
When many veterans attend a school, its faculty and staff tend to be more experienced at meeting the needs of former service members. VA figures show 13 GI Bill® students at TOA. With a total enrollment of 37, about 35.1% of the student body is using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. For perspective, about three to four percent of college students in the U.S. are veterans, according to the Student Veterans of America.
Note, this figure includes all chapters of the GI Bill® program (e.g., Post-9/11, Montgomery GI Bill®, Reserve Education Assistance Program, and Veteran Readiness and Employment). Active-duty service members attending via Tuition Assistance are not counted, so the overall military population could be higher. About 18.0% of all students at TOA, based on College Scorecard data.
