What You’ll Find in Our Veterans Report on UPR Carolina:
When many veterans attend a school, its faculty and staff tend to be more experienced at meeting the needs of former service members. Based on VA records, there are 82 GI Bill® students at UPR Carolina. Given that enrollment at the school is 2,367, nearly 3.5% of the student body is using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. For perspective, about three to four percent of college students in the U.S. are veterans, according to the Student Veterans of America.
All GI Bill® chapters are included here: Post-9/11, Montgomery, Reserve Education Assistance, and Veteran Readiness and Employment. It does not include any active-duty military personnel attending via Tuition Assistance, so the total military population is potentially larger.
