What You’ll Find in Our Veterans Report on UVI:

What Is the Veteran Population at UVI?

A large number of veterans attending a college means the college and faculty are more used to supporting and accommodating the needs of those with prior military experience. According to the VA, there are 29 GI Bill® students at UVI. As the school’s total enrollment is 1,431, approximately 2.0% of students are using the GI Bill® to help pay for their education. By comparison, the Student Veterans of America reports that three to four percent of college students nationwide are veterans.

This number includes all chapters of the GI Bill®, such as Post-9/11, the Montgomery GI Bill®, the Reserve Education Assistance Program, and Veteran Readiness and Employment. It does not include any active-duty military personnel attending via Tuition Assistance, so the total military population is potentially larger.
