In 2017-2018, accounting graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $44,557 and had an average of $26,381 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 12,724 accounting graduates with average earnings and debt of $44,268 and $25,156 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 6,707 accounting graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,896 and $23,899 respectively.

For this year’s “Best Value Accounting Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southwest Region” ranking, we looked at 90 colleges that offer a degree in accounting. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent accounting programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
