With 99,265 degrees handed out in 2020-2021, accounting is the 8th most popular major in the United States. In 2019-2020, accounting graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $47,712 and had an average of $26,539 in loans still to pay off.

Across Ohio, there were 3,687 accounting graduates with average earnings and debt of $47,406 and $26,308 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Ohio for Accounting” ranking analyzed 71 colleges that offered a degree in accounting. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality accounting programs as well as strong veteran support.
