Best Value Hospitality Schools for an Associate

With all of the options students have for higher education today, it can be tough to choose which direction to take. Our “Best Value Hospitality Schools for an Associate” ranking is part of that endeavor.

Hospitality Management is the 61st most popular major in the country with 17,830 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, hospitality management graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $33,271 and had an average of $21,829 in loans still to pay off.

At the associate degree level specifically, there were 2,636 hospitality management graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,082 and $17,678 respectively.

For this year’s “Best Value Hospitality Schools for an Associate” ranking, we looked at 212 colleges that offer a degree in hospitality management. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality hospitality management programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as the cost to attend the school after aid is awarded and overall quality of the hospitality management program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

Charles Town, West Virginia is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The private for-profit school handed out associates’s hospitality degrees to 8 students in 2019-2020.

American Military University excels when it comes to hospitality quality. It’s in the top 15% of all schools reviewed in that analysis. The estimated yearly cost for American Public University System is $10,222 for Associate Degree Hospitality students.

With a freshman retention rate of 98%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its students.
