In 2020-2021, 17,689 people earned their degree in hospitality management, making the major the 66th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, hospitality management graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $35,874 and had an average of $22,906 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Great Lakes region, there were 2,087 hospitality management graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,693 and $24,502 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Hospitality” ranking, we looked at 50 colleges that offer a degree in hospitality management. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great hospitality management programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the hospitality management program at the school. See our ranking methodology to learn more.

Waukesha County Technical College did quite well in the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Hospitality ranking, coming in at #24. Located in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, this medium-sized public school handed out 7 degrees to qualified ’s hospitality students in 2020-2021.

WCTC also made our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list, coming in at #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS].Our most recent data shows that 187 of the 6,952 students enrolled at Waukesha County Technical College were GI Bill® students, of which 122 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
