When it comes to choosing a college, veterans have a lot of options - but not all of them are good. College Factual has developed its “Most Veteran Friendly in the Rocky Mountains Region for Hospitality” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.
In 2020-2021, 17,689 people earned their degree in hospitality management, making the major the 66th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, hospitality management graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $35,874 and had an average of $22,906 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Rocky Mountains region, there were 366 hospitality management graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,534 and $23,200 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Rocky Mountains Region for Hospitality” ranking looked at 13 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in hospitality management. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great hospitality management programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Out of the 13 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Rocky Mountains Region for Hospitality that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Denver landed the #1 spot on the list. DU is a fairly large private not-for-profit school situated in Denver, Colorado. It awarded 33 ’s hospitality degrees in 2020-2021.
In addition to being on our rocky mountains region vets studying hospitality list, DU has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Among the 13,856 students enrolled at University of Denver, 571 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 373 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $12,359. To help with additional expenses, 155 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

Located in Fort Collins, Colorado, this large public school awarded 49 degrees to qualified ’s hospitality students in 2020-2021.
Colorado State did well in our major quality rankings, too.
