In 2020-2021, 66,787 communication and media studies students received their degree, making the major the 10th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, communication and media studies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $34,115 and had an average of $25,414 in loans still to pay off.

Across Ohio, there were 2,269 communication and media studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,570 and $24,411 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Ohio for Communications” ranking looked at 25 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in communication and media studies. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent communication and media studies programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
