In 2020-2021, 31,531 people earned their degree in information technology, making the major the 35th most popular in the United States.
At the associate degree level specifically, there were 5,326 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $35,806 and $19,336 respectively.
For this year’s “Schools for an Associate Highly Focused on IT Major” ranking, we looked at 359 colleges that offer a degree in information technology. That schools that top this list have a program in information technology in which the largest percentage of students at the school are enrolled.
