In 2020-2021, 88,434 computer information systems students received their degree, making the major the 9th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, computer information systems graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $54,066 and had an average of $26,787 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 9,823 computer information systems graduates with average earnings and debt of $55,372 and $27,524 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value CIS Schools in the Great Lakes Region For Those Making $0-$30k” ranking looked at 71 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in computer information systems. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent computer information systems programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
