Iowa State University tops the 2021 list of our schools in Iowa that are best for non-traditional computer science students. Iowa State is a fairly large public school located in the city of Ames. Iowa State also took the #1 spot in our Best Colleges for Computer Science in Iowa rankings.
The student loan default rate at Iowa State is lower than is typical, just 0.7% of students default in three years. Approximately 14,911 students take at least one class online at Iowa State. There are roughly 3,155 part time students in attendance at Iowa State.
University of Northern Iowa landed the #2 spot in our 2021 best computer science schools for non-traditional students. Located in the city of Cedar Falls, UNI is a public school with a moderately-sized student population. UNI also took the #3 spot in our Best Colleges for Computer Science in Iowa rankings.
