In 2020-2021, 14,336 people earned their degree in computer software and applications, making the major the 84th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, computer software and applications graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $39,619 and had an average of $33,819 in loans still to pay off.
Across the New England region, there were 1,756 computer software and applications graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,225 and $26,103 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Computer Software” ranking, we looked at 15 colleges that offer a degree in computer software and applications. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent computer software and applications programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

Out of the 15 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Computer Software that were part of this year’s ranking, Quinnipiac University landed the #1 spot on the list. This medium-sized school is located in Hamden, Connecticut, and it awarded 19 ’s computer software degrees in 2020-2021.
Quinnipiac not only placed well in this ranking.
