Highest Paid Education Graduates in the Southwest Region In 2018-2019, 88,927 education students received their bachelor's degree, making the major the #10 most popular in the country. Out of all those awarded degrees, 6,377 went to undergraduates in the Southwest region of the United States. For this year's Highest Paid Education Graduates in the Southwest Region ranking, we looked at 42 colleges that offer a bachelor's in education.

In this ranking, we use early career salaries - salaries 10 years from when a student started college. This is the salary typically earned 4-6 years after graduation, but may be different depending on how long a person takes to complete their degree.

Comparing Average Salaries of Education Majors

The average education major who graduates from a school in the Southwest Region earns about $35,710 per year during the early years of their career. That's not so great, since it is 10% less than the national average salary of a typical bachelor's degree holder. However, graduates from the schools in this list may make more.

The national average salary for education bachelor's degree holders is $34,031. That's pretty close to the average for students who get their degree from a school in the Southwest Region .
