In 2018-2019, 1,415 bachelor's degrees were awarded to education students who went to a Texas college or university. This makes it the #22 most popular major in the state. This means that 1.6% of the degrees earned in the country were from a school in the state.

This year's Highest Paid Education Graduates in Texas ranking analyzed 16 colleges that offered a bachelor's degree in education.
The numbers used in this ranking are early career salaries, which we define to be 10 years after a student started college. This is the salary typically earned 4-6 years after graduation, but may be different depending on how long a person takes to complete their degree.

The average education major who graduates from a school in Texas earns about $40,580 per year during the early years of their career. This is comparable to the national average salary for a typical college graduate from any field.
Nationwide, the average salary for graduates with a bachelor's degree in education is $34,031. This means that degree holders from schools in Texas make 19% more than their countrywide peers.
