With 88,927 bachelor's degrees handed out in 2018-2019, education is the #10 most popular major in the United States. Of those degrees, 11,541 went to students in the Plains States region of the country.

This year's Highest Paid Education Graduates in the Plains States Region ranking analyzed 100 colleges that offered a bachelor's degree in education.
In this ranking, we use early career salaries - salaries 10 years from when a student started college. This is the salary typically earned 4-6 years after graduation, but may be different depending on how long a person takes to complete their degree.

Salaries of Education Majors After Graduation
After graduation, education majors from schools in the Plains States Region earn an average salary of $34,459 per year. If salary is one of the most important things on your career list, you may be disappointed to hear that this is 13% less than the salary of a typical college graduate.
Nationwide, the average salary for graduates with a education degree is $34,031. So, there's not much difference on that front.
