You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Lamar University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Deaf Education for a Doctorate list. Beaumont, Texas is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out doctorate’s deaf education degrees to 1 students in 2020-2021.

Lamar University not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #1 on our “Best Education of the Deaf Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list.Our most recent data shows that 692 of the 16,637 students enrolled at Lamar University were GI Bill® students, of which 353 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
