Out of the 10 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for History Teacher Education for a Bachelor’s that were part of this year’s ranking, Northern Arizona University landed the #1 spot on the list. NAU is a large school located in Flagstaff, Arizona that handed out 24 bachelors’s history teacher education degrees in 2020-2021.

NAU not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #1 on our “Best History Education Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list.According to our most recent data, NAU supports 29,566 students, and 1,055 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 622 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for History Teacher Education for a Bachelor’s list. This small school is located in Austin, Texas, and it awarded 2 bachelors’s history teacher education degrees in 2020-2021.
