In 2019-2020, teacher education subject specific graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $42,245 and had an average of $24,696 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Plains States region, there were 4,892 teacher education subject specific graduates with average earnings and debt of $41,001 and $24,858 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 2,649 teacher education subject specific graduates with average earnings and debt of $41,046 and $29,021 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great teacher education subject specific programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Drake not only placed well in this ranking. Located in Hastings, Nebraska, this small private not-for-profit school awarded 12 degrees to qualified bachelors’s subject specific ed students in 2020-2021.
