You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Rhode Island. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Rhode Island for Secondary Teaching for a Bachelor’s list. Kingston, Rhode Island is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s secondary teaching degrees to 31 students in 2020-2021.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at URI, the school also landed the #2 spot in our “Best Secondary Education Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Rhode Island” ranking.According to our most recent data, University of Rhode Island supports 17,649 students, and 381 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 187 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Newport, Rhode Island is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out bachelors’s secondary teaching degrees to 12 students in 2020-2021.

Salve Regina also made our “Best Secondary Education Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Rhode Island” list, coming in at #1.Our most recent data shows that 74 of the 2,771 students enrolled at Salve Regina were GI Bill® students, of which 53 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $9,783. To help with additional expenses, 11 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program.
