Students have lots of options to chooose from today when trying to decide which college to attend. College Factual has developed its “Schools for a Bachelor’s Highly Focused on Engineering Tech Major in the Great Lakes Region” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.
In 2020-2021, 4,676 people earned their degree in general engineering technology, making the major the 156th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, general engineering technology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $53,419 and had an average of $23,567 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 568 general engineering technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $53,657 and $24,611 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 342 general engineering technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,343 and $26,790 respectively.
This year’s “Schools for a Bachelor’s Highly Focused on Engineering Tech Major in the Great Lakes Region” ranking looked at 15 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in general engineering technology. That schools that top this list have a program in general engineering technology in which the largest percentage of students at the school are enrolled.
