General Engineering Technology is the 156th most popular major in the country with 4,676 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, general engineering technology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $53,419 and had an average of $23,567 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 264 general engineering technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $62,298 and $19,475 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 16 general engineering technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $35,810 and $18,681 respectively.
This year’s “Most Well Attended Engineering Tech Major in the Southwest Region for an Associate” ranking looked at 16 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in general engineering technology. This ranking identifies schools that graduate the most students in general engineering technology.
