Central Connecticut State University has taken the #1 spot in this year's mechanical engineering technology ranking for non-traditional students. CCSU is a moderately-sized public school located in the large suburb of New Britain. As a testament to the quality of education offered at CCSU, the school also landed the #2 rank in our Best Colleges for Mechanical Engineering Technology in the New England Region ranking.
The student loan default rate at CCSU is lower than is typical, just 2.1% of students default in three years. Approximately 2,064 students take at least one class online at CCSU. About 3,098 of the students at CCSU are attending part time.
University of Maine comes in at #2 in this year's ranking. Located in the small suburb of Orono, UMaine is a public college with a fairly large student population. UMaine also took the #1 spot in our Best Colleges for Mechanical Engineering Technology in the New England Region rankings.
