Southern Illinois University Carbondale tops the 2021 list of our schools in Illinois that are best for non-traditional engineering technologies students. SIUC is a large public school located in the city of Carbondale. As a testament to the quality of education offered at SIUC, the school also landed the #2 rank in our Best Colleges for Engineering Technologies in Illinois ranking.

There are approximately 2,504 students at SIUC that take at least one class online. There are roughly 2,431 part time students in attendance at SIUC. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.

Illinois State University landed the #2 spot in our 2021 best engineering technologies schools for non-traditional students. Illinois State is a very large public school located in the midsize suburb of Normal. As a testament to the quality of education offered at Illinois State, the school also landed the #1 rank in our Best Colleges for Engineering Technologies in Illinois ranking.
