In 2019-2020, 9,448 people earned their degree in industrial engineering, making the major the 86th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, industrial engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $64,716 and had an average of $22,994 in loans still to pay off.

At the associate degree level specifically, there were 37 industrial engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,082 and $17,678 respectively.

Out of the 2 schools in the Best Value IE Schools for an Associate that were part of this year’s ranking, Sinclair Community College landed the #1 spot on the list. This fairly large school is located in Dayton, Ohio, and it awarded 3 associates’s IE degrees in 2019-2020.
