2022 Best Value IE Schools for a Master’s
When it comes to choosing a college, students have a lot of options - but not all of them are good. College Factual was founded, in part, to help students make the decision as to what would be the best school for them. Our “Best Value IE Schools for a Master’s” ranking is part of that endeavor.
Industrial Engineering is the 86th most popular major in the country with 9,448 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, industrial engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $64,716 and had an average of $22,994 in loans still to pay off.
At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 2,617 industrial engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $56,398 and $43,194 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value IE Schools for a Master’s” ranking looked at 77 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in industrial engineering. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality industrial engineering programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
Some of the factors we look at when determining these rankings are overall quality of the industrial engineering program at the school and the cost of the school after aid is awarded among other things. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
