American Sign Language is the 199th most popular major in the country with 2,724 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, American Sign Language graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $32,250 and had an average of $24,208 in loans still to pay off.

Across Virginia, there were 103 American Sign Language graduates with average earnings and debt of $35,141 and $27,000 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 19 American Sign Language graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,553 and $27,844 respectively.

This ranking identifies schools with high-quality American Sign Language programs as well as strong veteran support.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Liberty University. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in Virginia for ASL for a Bachelor’s. Located in Lynchburg, Virginia, this large private not-for-profit school handed out 19 degrees to qualified bachelors’s ASL students in 2020-2021.
