American Sign Language is the 199th most popular major in the country with 2,724 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, American Sign Language graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $32,250 and had an average of $24,208 in loans still to pay off.

Across Oregon, there were 63 American Sign Language graduates with average earnings and debt of $27,834 and $22,950 respectively.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Western Oregon University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Oregon for ASL list. Western Oregon University is a public institution located in Monmouth, Oregon. The school has a small population, and it awarded 32 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.
