2021 Best Nursing Schools for Non-Traditional Students in Nevada
The following schools top our list of the Best Nursing Colleges for Non-Traditional Students.
University of Nevada - Reno has taken the #1 spot in this year's nursing ranking for non-traditional students. UNR is a very large public school located in the city of Reno. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, UNR has also earned the #1 rank in our Best Colleges for Nursing in Nevada ranking.
The student loan default rate at UNR is lower than is typical, just 0.8% of students default in three years. Approximately 4,563 students take at least one class online at UNR. 5,396 of UNR students are attending part time.
University of Nevada - Las Vegas comes in at #2 in this year's ranking. Located in the midsize city of Las Vegas, UNLV is a public college with a very large student population. UNLV also made our Best Colleges for Nursing in Nevada list, coming in at #2.
About 1.5% of UNLV students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. There are approximately 15,438 students at UNLV that take at least one class online. There are roughly 8,226 part time students in attendance at UNLV.
Great Basin College earned the #3 spot in our 2021 rankings. Located in the remote town of Elko, Great Basin College is a public college with a small student population.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 3.7%. 3,174 students at Great Basin College are exclusively online. 2,480 of Great Basin College students are attending part time.
Our rankings recognize Nevada State College as the #4 school in this year's rankings. Located in the rural area of Henderson, NSC is a public school with a moderately-sized student population. As a testament to the quality of education offered at NSC, the school also landed the #3 rank in our Best Colleges for Nursing in Nevada ranking.
