Indiana University - Bloomington tops the 2021 list of our schools in the Great Lakes Region that are best for non-traditional public health students. IU Bloomington is a very large public school located in the city of Bloomington. As a testament to the quality of education offered at IU Bloomington, the school also landed the #1 rank in our Best Colleges for Public Health in the Great Lakes Region ranking.
About 1.4% of IU Bloomington students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. Approximately 18,013 students take at least one class online at IU Bloomington. There are roughly 5,256 part time students in attendance at IU Bloomington.

University of Illinois at Chicago earned the #2 spot in our 2021 rankings. UIC is a very large public school located in the large city of Chicago. UIC also made our Best Colleges for Public Health in the Great Lakes Region list, coming in at #4.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 0.7%. Approximately 19,768 students take at least one class online at UIC. About 5,712 of the students at UIC are attending part time.

The #3 spot in this year's ranking belongs to Illinois State University. Illinois State is a very large public school located in the medium-sized suburb of Normal. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, Illinois State has also earned the #5 rank in our Best Colleges for Public Health in the Great Lakes Region ranking.
